So you've heard rumblings on the Internet of this little thing in Austin, TX called South by Southwest Interactive, or simply "south by" if you're trying to sound hip. It's five days of non-stop presentations, panels, and parties with some the brightest minds in the technology, design, and social media scene. It has definitely become the event to be at for those working in the digital/interactive space. But, alas, we all can't make it...or afford it, even. Relax! We've got you covered.

Social Media Club St. Louis and STL Women in Media are teaming up for a Pre-SXSW Extravaganza. Whether you'll be attending SXSW later in the week or just want to come be a part of the hype, we have an evening full of networking and panels that are sure to keep you entertained.

Going to SXSWi? Come out and mingle with your future BFFs for the next week! Become Twitter buddies and plan meetups for when you are down in Austin later that week.

Not Going to SXSWi? Don't fret! You can still have some fun this week. Come to the Moonrise and take in some knowledge at one of the awesome panels we have planned. At the very least, it's still another awesome happy hour with some of your favorite people in St. Louis.

What makes Pinterest, the pinboard-style social sharing site, the hottest thing on the Internet since cat videos? We'll share trend and best practices, discuss its appeal on the personal and professional side, and make wild accusations as to where we see Pinterest going in 2012. Oh, and don't think we won't be bringing up the gender divide issue!

With the widespread acceptance of easy to customize CMS platforms, such as Wordpress, are we running the risk of stifling creativity and innovation in the world of web design? We'll discuss the current trends in this platform war, as well as web fonts, mobile and tablet design, and HTML5 adoption.

What are brands doing to make digital noise and what are they doing to remain relevant in a society that has the attention span of a toddler? All that and outlandish predictions for the rest of 2012. You won't want to miss this!
